300 or so Airmen returned to Hill Air Force Base after deployment to Iraq. Despite how much the Air Force sets up these things, handing out American flags and flowers, etc., it's still very emotional and moving to see how people anticipate the safe return of their wife/husband/father/mother/brother/friends...From top:

I'm not sure why I like this photo so much, but I do. This is Bob Kinser, who lives in Ogden Canyon, and has been without running water for over a year due to a broken water main. Maybe it's the suspenders, his dog named Kyle (not pictured), the askew number 8, or maybe it's because he said his uncle was "gayer than a three dollar bill," and I can't figure out if that's offensive or not. But there it is.

Dave Foley is one of the most genuine people I've met here in Ogden. So what if he sometimes beats the crap out of people for a living? He can still lose a fight and joke around with the guy who beat him afterward.

I shot Jeremy Horn's Elite Fight Night last night and Foley barely lost his match to John Sharp. He sustained a large cut to the head, probably from Sharp's sharp elbow, and was bleeding profusely halfway through. Didn't seem to phase him much. It didn't phase his fans, either, and he definitely has a few of those. Half the crowd was chanting his name.

After all the fights were over, the doc finally got around to fixing him up - 25 stitches.
