There was huge turnout for the Utah GOP caucuses, including the one held at Pleasant Grove Junior High School in Utah County Thursday, March 15, 2012. The national Tea Party-aligned organization Freedom Works collaborated with Utah activists in an effort to elect delegates who would oust six-term Sen. Orrin Hatch, but many pro-Hatch delegate-hopefuls showed up as well. Hatch is running against former state Sen. Dan Liljenquist, the Tea Party favorite, and state Rep. Chris Herrod.
