Wrestler Roman Ortiz

Snow Day

After a day of mostly running around photographing car accidents, I ended my shift with some sledding features. In the first photo, Alexis Stevens takes her dog Kenny for a ride down the hill. He stayed on the whole time.

Lobos over Rams

The Colorado State University Rams fell to the University of New Mexico Lobos tonight by two points. A near steal that turned into a basket by Hugh Greenwood and questionable timing on a shot-clock reset in the final minute allowed New Mexico's men's basketball team's 68-66 victory over CSU. CSU's Head Coach Larry Eustachy was livid with official Tom O'Neill at the end of the game.

Horsetooth Polar Plunge

About 100 people participated in the Polar Plunge at Horsetooth Reservoir in Stout this morning. There was ice in the water, but outside it was a balmy 60 degrees. Not quite the same effect as frigid winter temperatures...

Orange goo

Employees at Burt's Logo & Apparel in Fort Collins were hard at work churning out Broncos conference champions t-shirts today. The company was contracted by the National Football League to print hundreds of white shirts with official NFL hologram logo stickers. So you know they're official and stuff.

Week Two in FoCo

A police officer pulls flairs out of the back of his cruiser at the scene of a car accident involving two pick-up trucks at the intersection of Giddings Road and Richards Lake Road in Fort Collins Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. Three people were injured, two critically. Tyler Merrill, who was driving a white Chevrolet pick-up, was ticketed for disregarding a stop sign and failure to provide proof of insurance, according to Fort Collins Police Services.
